Selective colors, curves, adjusted leaves ans sky.
This picture tells a tale. It transports us into another world which is magical and legendary. The light is mysterious as we can't tell where the source is, and the fog and leaves have the potential to illicit different interpretations. The pine tree in the fog creates a mystical aura that I appreciate and the composition of the image is amazing. (Vincent Munier)

In the picture, the fishermen are at sea fishing. They are efforts to overcome the waves.
This image has it all. A beautifully balanced composition capturing man against the elements. The wall of white spray, (frozen in time), in striking contrast to that of the deep green of the water. The man strains as he battles to maneuver his craft against the power of the surging wash. This is a technically well executed and symbolic photograph' (David Dare Parker)

This image expresses anticipation and excitement at that exact moment in time. This photograph is one of my favorites as it tells a story through many reflections of light.
Every time I see this photo I discover something new and it brings a smile to my face. This photo reminds me of my photojournalism days when I would get a nice surprise in my photo. The composition is excellent and the work is strong overall. (Robin Layton)

This captures a moment in time of a Japanese Tit bird with a drooping plum tree serving as the backdrop.
The first time I saw this image, I was drawn to it. There is nothing distracting in this image, and I feel that I can look at this bird for many hours. The composition of this photo reminds me of Japanese playing cards–this strikes me. This is an appropriate selection for this region as it is quintessentially Japanese.
